Meet Michael Watson DD

Michael Watson DD has been a practising denturist for 26 years, bringing extensive experience, craftsmanship and a highly personalized approach to patient care at Atrium Denture Clinic in Barrie.

Michael entered the denture profession in 1996 and graduated with honours from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to continuing education in denture treatment and patient care, building on proven denture principles while incorporating modern techniques and technology where they can benefit the individual patient.

What makes Michael's background particularly unique is his experience beyond denturism. As a previous award-winning artist, photographer and inventor, he brings both a technical and creative perspective to his work. His artistic eye complements the science of denture fabrication, with careful consideration given to tooth arrangement, shape, shade, proportion and the details that contribute to a natural-looking smile.

Michael believes successful denture treatment should be collaborative. He takes the time to listen to each patient's concerns, explain the options available and encourage their involvement throughout treatment. Rather than relying exclusively on one method, he combines traditional hand-fabricated techniques with modern digital scanning and fabrication methods when appropriate for the patient's needs.

For Michael, dentures are much more than a mechanical replacement for missing teeth. They affect how a person speaks, eats, smiles and moves through everyday life.
